My life has been around a constellation of influences within and around the natural world.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education and a Master of Science in Environmental Sciences & Teaching Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. I hold certificates as a Certified Interpretive Guide and Environmental Education Certification.

Keeping myself grounded to the Land, I strive to create positive outdoor experiences for the community.

I'm an experienced outdoor educator with a deep commitment to connecting people—especially young learners—with the natural world in meaningful, inclusive, and place-based ways. I currently serve as an instructional leader at a nature center in Southeast Michigan, where I design and facilitate outdoor learning programs for thousands of K–12 students each year, and collaborate closely with teachers to integrate nature-based experiences into school curricula.

My work blends environmental literacy, inquiry-based science, and community-connected learning with an emphasis on accessibility, equity, and joy.

Much of my current work involves mentoring fellow educators, co-creating professional development opportunities, and supporting schools in making the shift from indoor to outdoor instruction. I’m particularly passionate about integrating Indigenous knowledge systems, storytelling, and stewardship into field-based learning. I believe that outdoor education isn’t just about nature—it’s about relationships: to land, to self, to each other, and to the stories we carry.

When I’m not in the field with students, I enjoy writing curriculum, leading teacher workshops, collaborating with community partners, and dreaming up new ways to spark curiosity in the outdoors. I’m thrilled to be part of the eePro community and look forward to learning and growing alongside fellow educators and change-makers.
