The Yale Program on Climate Change Communication conducts scientific research on public climate change knowledge, attitudes, policy preferences, and behavior, and the underlying psychological, cultural, and political factors that influence them. They have developed materials for educators of students in grades 6–12 who are interested in using the Yale Program's resources in the classroom.

These resources include helpful backgrounders for educators, interactive maps for students, and audio stories designed to make information about climate change accessible and interactive. Activities are aligned with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards and can be filtered for introductory, intermediate, and advanced level learning.
