The South Carolina Department of Education and the Environmental Education Association of South Carolina are spearheading the effort to get an ELP off the ground, with coalition support as part of a statewide ad hoc ELP committe. The group is considering hosting an Environmental Literacy Summit attracting like-minded and interested people together to develop a vision, goals and objectives, and scope and sequence, ultimately culminating in an ELP that is comprehensive and beneficial to all SC citizens.
