Indiana ELP
The Environmental Education Association of Indiana has developed a set of curricular guidlines that outline the vision and steps required to achieve an environmentally literate citizenry and sustainable communities throughout the state. The guidelines include four Strands for formal and nonformal educators to incorporate in their lessons, which include:
- Questioning, Analysis, and Interpretation
- Knowledge of Environmental Processes and Systems
- Skills for Understanding and Addressing Environmental Issues
- Personal and Community Action
Each section includes a description and a list of concepts, skills, and experiences students should have by the end of grades four, eight, and twelve.
