The Global Innovation Challenge offers multiple grant awards ranging from $1,000 to $15,000. Awards are available in several categories:

• Some are open to all eligible projects.
• Others focus on specific themes or impact areas.
• Different sponsors may offer specialized awards for particular solutions or regions.

Eligibility Criteria

You can enter the Social Shifters Global Innovation Challenge if you:

• are between 18 and 30 years old when you submit your application.
• are the founder, co-founder, or primary leader of your group, startup, or organization.
• have clear decision-making authority in your group, startup, or organization.
• are working on a solution that creates positive social or environmental impact.

Project Types

We welcome a wide range of groups, startups, and organizations that create positive social or environmental change. Your project can be:

• a for-profit business
• a nonprofit organization
• an unregistered initiative
• a new solution within an existing organization (subject to certain conditions)

Key Requirements

Your project must:

• have a clear social or environmental impact.
• align with at least one UN Sustainable Development Goal.
• be genuinely led by young people (ages 18–30).
• take an innovative approach to addressing challenges.
