Request for Proposals for Contractual Services – 2025 Environmental Literacy Forum Civic Engagement Training
The Chesapeake Bay Trust and Environmental Literacy Forum planning partners (the Regional Outdoor Learning Network Initiative Network Advisory Team, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Chesapeake Bay Program Education Workgroup) seek a qualified contractor who will provide an engaging and interactive two day training on civic engagement during the 2025 Environmental Literacy Forum, to take place at the National Conservation and Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia January 7th-9th, 2025.
Every two years, the Forum planning partners coordinate an Environmental Literacy Forum, which brings together leaders in the formal and non-formal environmental literacy field from Chesapeake Bay watershed states. The Forum focuses on advancing practitioner knowledge and skills to support the conditions needed to realize environmental literacy goals and outcomes. Some of the goals of the upcoming Forum are as follows:
- Increase the knowledge and skills of networks and environmental literacy partners on how they can engage and activate school system decision-makers to reach an ultimate goal of sustainable funding for environmental literacy programming,
- Share best practices in civic engagement and community organizing efforts, and
- Provide guidance on increasing self-efficacy for effective stakeholder education and engagement.
Deadline for proposals is Monday, September 9, 2024, at 4:00 PM EST.
