Uniting schools, nonprofits and global artists to explore environmental stewardship through art in a shared international gallery of love for our planet and each other

29 Pieces invites you to become involved in a special project—the 29 Pieces Planet Earth Love Project Art Movement and Competition. 29 Pieces will award a total of $10,000 in prize money to those judged as the winners of the competition. There are no entry costs for this project.

Karen Blessen, a Pulitzer Prize winning artist, is the Founder and Executive Artistic Director of 29 Pieces. For more than two decades, 29 Pieces has used art to bring people together around ideas that matter. The reason our organization is asking for your partnership in the Planet Earth Love Project Art Movement and Competition is simple. We aim to answer this question: How can art inspire love, healing, unity, and care for our planet and one another?

That is why 29 Pieces created the Planet Earth Love Project Art Movement and Competition—a worldwide gathering of art expressing love for Earth and encouraging people to turn that love into art. We invite you because you have a voice, a network, or connections that could help this idea travel much farther than we can take it alone.

Conceived in response to the profound needs of students and educators alike, the Planet Earth Love Project addresses the modern longing for light, hope and connection. The global arts initiative aims to engage 2,000 people on seven continents and exhibit more than 2,000 artworks online and in community exhibits, inspiring compassion and environmental stewardship around the world.
