IEEE TryEngineering STEM Grants Open

The IEEE TryEngineering STEM Grant Program is designed to support STEM outreach activities that introduce K–12 students to engineering, especially technology related fields. Some funding opportunities can support environmental STEM topics, such as ocean protection and renewable energy. The application window for the 2025 program is open through January 3, 2025.

Funding Levels:

  • Inspire Level: $1,001–$2,000 (at least 5 grants available)
  • Share Level: $501–$1,000 (at least 10 grants available)
  • Introductory Level: Up to $500 (at least 15 grants available)

IEEE Grant Sources for the Environment Sustainability:

  • IEEE Oceanic Engineering Society (OES): Up to $5,000 for projects on ocean engineering (e.g., ocean protection, renewable energy, coral reef conservation).
  • IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE): Up to $1,000 for projects targeting school-aged girls.

How to Apply:

IEEE members are invited to apply for funding for their STEM programs, events, or resources aimed at engaging youth in engineering. Grants are awarded based on the level of funding and focus areas.
