Young Climate Authors Educator Training Program
This 8-week program equips teachers and non-formal educators to mentor students in writing storybooks on climate change. Course outcomes include an understanding of climate change, climate justice, Project Based Learning, and book authoring, along with a curricular framework to teach the course. The YCA Educator Training equips adults to implement the Young Climate Authors Program with children and youth. The course covers:
Teaching climate change and climate justice.
Mentoring climate stories.
Illustration, design, and publishing.
Constructivist teaching and learning.
Outcomes include a framework for mentoring climate storytelling and a draft climate story. Participants receive a certificate upon successful completion of all course requirements.
The course has a program fee of $125 per person and runs from January 4–February 28, with class meeting from 6:30 PM–8:30 PM Indian Standard Time. Read more and register here.
