Taking Action for Ecosystem Restoration

Step into a transformative educational experience with UN at Your Doorstep! This groundbreaking initiative brings together today’s global leaders and tomorrow’s changemakers in a series of live online dialogues addressing the world’s most pressing sustainable development challenges.
Ideal for high school assemblies, extracurricular groups, UN clubs, NGOs, and classrooms, UN at Your Doorstep offers a rare opportunity for young people to engage directly with world leaders and UN officials.
In its seventh session, youth from around the world will join a dynamic conversation with Natalia Alekseeva, Coordinator of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (UNEP), and Julia Mensa, CEO of Nunatak and UNCCD/G20 Youth Ecopreneur. In conversation with youth from Ireland and Malta involved in FEE’s Learning about Forests and Young Reporters for the Environment programs, we will explore the root causes of ecosystem degradation, the roles of education, technology, and policy in driving restoration, and how young people can lead inclusive, locally grounded efforts to restore nature. The session will conclude with a call to action from Gustavo Nascimento of the Science Panel for the Amazon’s Youth Advisory Committee, highlighting key takeaways and global opportunities for youth engagement.
The dialogue will include interactive segments, real-time Q&A, and peer-led reflection—giving space for young voices to shape the conversation and lead the call to action.
