During this week-long day camp, for youth ages 11-14, ocean explorers will investigate the dynamic properties of the global ocean, the animals that live within it, and the tools and technologies used for ocean exploration.  Campers will engage in hands-on activities and investigations, tune into live oceanographic expeditions, meet scientists, and learn about different ocean careers. The summer 2020 session will take place July 6-10, 2020, and will focus on chemical oceanography. Using the tools and techniques of chemical oceanographers, campers will investigate the chemistry of the marine environment, the global cycles of key elements, and the potential impacts of climate change and marine pollutants on the ocean ecosystem.
