Homecoming 2023: Resistance and Resilience in Black Communities
NorthStar of GIS presents
Homecoming Conference: Resilience & Resistance in Black Communities
During Geography Week, November 13–15, 2023, NorthStar GIS will be focusing on Black representation in geography. We'll hear from Black geographers, GIS professionals, and other geography-related students, educators, entrepreneurs, and other professionals. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the contributions of Black people to the field of geography and to gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by Black communities.
And don't miss CEE-Change Fellow and founder of Map Nerd Consulting, Gloria Desanker, for an engaging GIS Workshop where she will be sharing her wealth of knowledge and empowering attendees with practical skills.
The event is free to attend, with the option to donate. Learn more about NorthStar of GIS here.
