In November 2019, NAAEE and Kettering Foundation hosted Learning from Each Other: Connecting Civic Engagement and Environmental Education Research Exchange, an event bringing together environmental education (EE) and civic engagement (CE) researchers and practioners. We begin this lesson with a short animation based on the working paper drafted by Bora Simmons and Martha Monroe after the exchange. This video introduces the concept of CEEI (Civic Engagement for Environmental Issues) and explores some of the key synergies of EE and CE.
