Wilderness Mental Health First Aid

Presented by Nicole Thurrell of WildMed

In this highly engaging workshop, you will come to understand the various unsettled states of nervous system activation that children and adults alike can experience in and out of the field. You will walk away with a toolkit of techniques for prevention and stabilization that are appropriate to each respective state of activation.

Nature-Based Learning, Indoors and Out! 

Thursdays, February 27 and March 6, from 7:00 PM–8:30 PM (EST)

Discover ways nature-based concepts can enhance any curriculum. Participants will explore hands-on approaches to inquiry and outdoor learning and consider ways to invite nature indoors to classroom settings. This lively training includes a blend of outdoor experiences, group discussion, and slides to exemplify how to bring nature-based learning inside and out.

Join ANBE for a two-part course to explore several strategies, activities, and tools to get started or deepen your repertoire of nature-based practices.

Note: Professional development certificate will be provided to those who successfully complete the course; MSDE-approved for three clock hours.
