A Conversation with Sue Heatherington

May 18, 2022 (12:00 PM, Pacific)

Are you a quiet disruptor?

Author Sue Heatherington explores the practices of quiet change-makers in her book, "Quiet Disruptors: Creating Change Without Shouting."

If you take a few moments to think about who you know in environmental education, chances are you can identify at least two individuals who can be called quiet disruptors. These are individuals concerned with helping other people, individuals creating unexpected solutions, and individuals energized by moments of reflection. Sue Heatherington will be exploring this topic for the next gathering of BEAM: A Book Club, hosted by Talaterra.

Why BEAM, you ask? A beam is a support structure, and it is also a ray of light. Talaterra's book club is dedicated to nourishing environmental professionals with resources they can use in their respective practices.
