My objectives: To expand equity, inclusion, and diversity in adventure and outdoor experiential education through critical scholarship, interdisciplinary collaboration with students and colleagues, and equitable learning and teaching practices in the traditional and the outdoor classroom.

I taught AP Environmental Science for 20 years at a large high school in Southern California. I currently serve as the director of AP Environmental Science for College Board. When I am not working, I enjoy walking, running, and hiking the trails through the chaparral biome in which we live.
