Meleine Yao joined EDO in June 2022 as the new Global Education Coordinator. She has a vast experience in environmental education, water quality and wildlife research, environmental policy, and community engagement.
Educator with experience as a teacher, department head, principal, Ministry of Education officer, Environmental Sustainability System-Lead, and currently as an assistant professor at OISE, University of Toronto in Educational Leadership and Policy.
Laura holds a B.A. in History from the University of Illinois Springfield and an M.A. in Museum Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Prior to joining CRE in 2021, she conducted internal research and evaluation at a variety of institution types, including two zoos.
I develop and lead programs for people of all ages that help them fall in love with this place we call home.
I am the author of The Animal Adventurer's Guide, a book for children on how to connect with everyday wild creatures.
I live in NH with my children, dogs, and Slippery, the slug.

I am on the Maine Environmental Assoc Board and New England EE Alliance Board. I am an Educator at Maine Audubon. I have been doing this for 30 years.
