Have spent nearly 30 years in the field of environmental and STEAM education.  I love connecting people of all ages to nature and have a special interest in using art in all its forms and gardening to do that.  I am also a 2023-2024 CEE Change Fellow.

I’m Maggy Benson (she/her), a dynamic learning designer who is passionate about creating inclusive audience-centered learning experiences. My specialties are digital strategy, science education, multimedia production, and on-camera interviews. 

VEEP and NHEEP's mission is to build a deep understanding of energy through education, encouraging choices that result in sustainability in our communities, economy and environment.

We believe sustainability starts with education. We offer programming for K-12 schools, educators, and the public.

Eagle’s Nest Camp is a coed camp over 90 years old, located in the lush mountains of Western North Carolina. Eagle’s Nest provides a strong, nurturing community where campers ages 6-17 are treated with respect, honor and compassion.

Director of Strategic Initiatives for the University of Iowa Office of the State Archaeologist with a background in Cultural Resource Management and Environmental Education. My work integrates EE and cultural history and promotes archaeology as a way to engage people with nature.
