As a Jewish early childhood educator I love teaching children to find the joy of the everyday rituals that make up the rhythms of our lives. I focus my teaching on tikkun olam (repair the world) l'dor v'dor (from generation to generation). A lifelong lover of every bird and plant I come across I can often be found guiding conversations  about natural resources with three year olds or with my Girl Scout troop.

I am a preschool teacher and environmental educator at B'nai Shalom Day School ( https://bnai-shalom.org/about/our-team ) in Greensboro, N0orth Carolina USA. I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia where I completed a Culinary program becoming a Certified Pastry Culinarian. I spent most of my life in Atlanta until my family decided it was time for an adventure and we moved to Plattsburgh, NY near the Québec, Canada border. There I began working across the lake in Burlington Vermont where I was a preschool teacher at Gan Yeladim Preschool during the school year and worked as a camp counselor at Shady Grove Farm and Wellness Center in Peru, NY in the summers. I also spent time working at the Childcare Coordinating Council of the North Country in their Kinship program, teaching children cooking skills. My time at the farm and council showed me the importance of children learning about where our food and water comes from. While my interest has had a definite shift on teaching children from cooking food to growing and raising it ultimately my greatest passion is teaching children to love the outdoors.
