Lindsey Kirkland (she/her) is an environmental education leader, facilitator, and program manager dedicated to connecting people, ideas, and action. Most recently at Climate Generation, she designed and led professional learning experiences for a national network of educators, creating spaces where collaboration, curiosity, and community drive meaningful impact. With a background in environmental research, climate education, coalition-building, and program strategy, Lindsey brings people together across organizations to strengthen practice and advance collective goals. She believes learning is most powerful when it is participatory, grounded in real-world contexts and research, and rooted in care for both people and place.

Lindsey Kirkland (she/her) is an environmental education leader, facilitator, and program manager who specializes in designing collaborative learning experiences that inspire action and strengthen communities. She leads professional learning programs for a nationwide network of more than 8,000 educators, convening workshops, institutes, and communities of practice that support climate literacy and effective teaching. Her work centers on bringing people together—across disciplines, organizations, and geographies—to share knowledge, build relationships, and move collective efforts forward.

Over the course of her career, Lindsey has facilitated large-scale convenings, developed strategic partnerships with more than 50 organizations and agencies, and overseen the creation of widely used educational resources. She is known for creating inclusive, engaging spaces where participants feel valued and motivated to contribute, and for translating complex topics like climate science into accessible, actionable learning experiences. Her approach blends thoughtful program design with a deep commitment to community-building and participant-centered facilitation.

At heart, Lindsey is a connector and collaborator who believes that meaningful change happens when people learn together and feel empowered to act. She is especially passionate about supporting educators and leaders in building the skills, confidence, and networks they need to address urgent environmental challenges.
