Ildiko has been a secondary science teacher for over 20 years and is passionate about creating nature-based and environmental literacy-centered lessons for her students at Peterson Middle School in Sunnyale, CA. Ildiko has been a secondary science teacher for over 20 years and is passionate about creating nature-based and environmental literacy-centered lessons for her students at Peterson Middle School in Sunnyale, CA. This school houses the "Bryan Osborne Nature Area", an outdoor classroom which gives representation of the major biological communities in California. In addition to teaching full time, Ildiko is the founder of Camp Captivate, a summer STEAM camp program for campers ages 5 - 14. She has presented her custom science units at CASE conferences, including "Salty Science- From Resource to Restoration-- the Epic Story of San Francisco Bay" and "Fight Fire with Fire: Fire Ecology and Native American Cultural Fire Practies". Recently, Ildiko has taken up the hobby of nature journaling and painting while in the field. Ildiko is a life-long learner and a lover of nature.
