Interests
I currently serve as a Learning and Events Manager with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), following previous roles as a Learning and Event Specialist and Learning Coordinator. In these positions, I have supported both online and in‑person learning events, overseen NRPA’s Learning Management System, managed speaker relationships, and coordinated virtual and in‑person conference programming—including the NRPA Annual Conference virtual components and speed sessions. Through this work, I ensure seamless learning delivery, exceptional customer service, and high‑quality professional development experiences for NRPA’s national audience.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Park Administration from Eastern Kentucky University, where I completed triple concentrations in Event Planning Recreation Management, Natural Resource Recreation Management, and Tourism/Resort Recreation Management. My academic background shapes my holistic, participant‑centered approach to creating recreational and learning experiences.
Before joining NRPA, I gained valuable experience across several recreation, education, and natural resource organizations, including Kentucky State Parks, Wilson’s Nurseries Butterfly Greenhouse, Georgetown‑Scott County Parks and Recreation, and the University of Kentucky. These roles strengthened my skills in program management, administrative support, event planning, customer service, and engaging public education.
My work is driven by a belief in the power of shared experiences—whether through recreation, learning events, or creative program design. I strive to plan, promote, deliver, and evaluate programs that leave participants enriched and excited to pass what they’ve learned on to someone else.
