I am a pediatric nature based occupational therapist. I like working with teachers and parents to help them see the developmental benifits of outdoor play. I work in person with children, and I provide online resources for parents, teachers, and therapist.

I have been a pediatric occupational therapist for over 20 years. In that time I've worked in school systems in multiple states. My favorite time was working together with the special education preschool teams.

I had the privledge to homeschool my three children during the preschool years. During that time I ran play groups and forest play groups.

The last few years I have started working again as an occupational therapist, but now as a nature based therapist. I started my own business, Hill OT, in Murfreesboro TN. I provide nature based enrichment groups at a preschool where I work with them on sensosry motor skills to help their bodies be ready for hand writing. Also, I have a backyard occupational therapy clinic, where I provide pediatric nature based occupational therpay.

I have a huge desire to help parents, teachers and therapist take steps to include more nature in the work they do with children. I especially want nature to feel accessible to adults that aren't at first inclined to be outside. I also desire to encoruage more physical movement in children's lives.

On my website, Roly Poly Movement   I blog easy ideas to incorrporate nature and movement in children's lives. This includes picture books that work well to have a "read and move" storytime.

I sell an ebook: "Tree Rings And Other Things, A Hands-On Curriculum To Teach Pre-Writing Shapes" This ebook provides 13 hands on lessons for children to learn pre-writing shapes while doing the "Move-Touch-Draw" method. This is for children 3 to 6 years old, and written to be used by parents, teachers, and occupational therapist.
