K-12 EE Guidelines for Excellence Virtual Workshop Resources
Are you interested in teaching other educators (preservice and in-service) about environmental literacy and how it develops across the grade bands? We've created a workshop module that facilitates online exploration of NAAEE's publication K-12 Environmental Education: Guidelines for Excellence. This set of guidelines was developed to support state and local environmental education efforts by setting expectations for performance and achievement in grades 4, 8, and 12.
The online resources provide a step-by-step outline for designing a virtual short course that can be adapted to your needs.
Just download the module outline and sample materials (e.g., slide show, handouts, PDF of the K-12 EE Guidelines) from the upper right hand corner of this post. A set of YouTube videos are also available to support this module:
- eeLEARN What is Environmental Literacy?
- Environmental Literacy - A Bit of History and Perspective
- K-12 Environmental Education: Guidelines for Excellence (overview)
- National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education (overview)
