The Nova Scotia’s Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture just announced the new, FREE Coast to Classroom education program. There are 26 new lesson plans and supporting materials (i.e., ‘plug-and-play’ assessment sheets, video links, presentations, 3D virtual tours) which aligns with 723 learning outcomes for Nova Scotia’s public school system. The initial learning materials focus on career exploration and industry awareness, helping youth understand the opportunities available within the seafood sector and helping address current and future labour needs. 

While the outcomes are specific to NS, the materials can be adapted to any Primary to Grade 12 classroom with minimal effort.
