Breathing Life Into a Dead Space

In her article, she discusses the immense success a community in Philadelphia has had by reclaiming a dangerous and polluted vacant lot. They restored it into a community garden, which is utilized by neighbors for distributing produce locally, as a public meeting space, and even a site used as a job skills training program for adjudicated and formerly convicted youth.
