The Young Naturalist Awards Competition

ponsored by the American Museum of Natural History, the Young Naturalist Awards is an inquiry-based research competition for students in grades 7-12. Students investigate questions they have about the natural world (ecology, biology, Earth science or astronomy) and present their findings in an essay.  Twelve winners receive cash awards, from $500 to $2,500, and an expense paid trip to New York City to meet with scientists and attend an awards ceremony. The winning essays are published on the Museum’s website.
