Education Faculty Wanted for Study on Nature-Based Early Learning

What is this study about?

This study explores how undergraduate early childhood education programs address nature-based early learning, examining where they locate its content in the curriculum and the philosophical nature of its teaching. Faculty (full-time and adjunct) in elementary education, science education, or environmental education are welcome to participate if they meet the eligibility criteria. 

 

What are the eligibility criteria for faculty?

  • teach course(s) in an undergraduate teacher education program in the United States;

  • course content taught is related to early childhood education (i.e., infancy through third grade); and

  • 18 years or older.

All appointment types are welcome: Full-time, adjunct/part-time, graduate instructor, visiting, and emeritus.

 

What does participation in this study involve?

  • Phase 1: Survey, which takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. 

  • Phase 2 (OPTIONAL): Interview, which takes approximately one-and-a-half hours. 

 

Incentives

  • Phase 1: A random drawing of ten $25 gift cards.
