Global Mentorship Program is a six-month virtual initiative designed to foster collaborative, cross-generational relationships between emerging young environmental leaders and senior conservation professionals. Many of our mentors and mentees describe the program as transformative, as it creates space for authentic connection and helps break down the barriers that still exist in the conservation sector when it comes to intergenerational exchange.

This program is for:

  • Young conservation leaders aged 35 or younger. More information on the benefits for mentees can be found in the Mentee Guide.
  • Senior conservation professionals with at least 10 years of experience in a related environmental field or topic. More information on the benefits for mentors can be found in the Mentor Guide (maybe you can apply as a mentor yourself!).

The program will run from July–December 2025, and the application deadlines are Tuesday, April 29 for interested mentees and Tuesday, May 27 for interested mentors. Interested participants can visit our website for more details and to access the application links.

We would be very grateful if you could share this opportunity within your networks so that both interested mentees and mentors can apply. We know that intergenerational partnerships are still not very common in the environmental and conservation sectors—and we're doing our best to help change that. The Global Mentorship Program is a powerful opportunity to start mainstreaming these kinds of relationships and fostering meaningful cross-generational collaborations.
