Train the Trainer Workshop: Community Engagement Guidelines for Excellence in EE

Do you do professional development with educators? Are you looking for new ways to share best practices for how environmental educators can create more inclusive environments that support effective community partnerships and collaborations? 

We invite you to become a part of the Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education Trainer’s Bureau. Through a series of three trainings, including an overview of the Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education, an in depth exploration of the newly released Community Engagement Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education, and access to a toolkit of resources, participants will be prepared to facilitate workshops focusing on the guidelines.

Join us for an overview of the Guidelines for Excellence in Environmental Education with Bora Simmons, National Director.

August 23rd 9:30-3:00p.m. MST Workshop at the Lookout Mountain Nature Center in Golden, Colorado
Through a series of hands-on activities, participants will identify key characteristics of high quality community engagement. This workshop will focus on how to apply the Community Engagement: Guidelines for Excellence to organizational and program work and methods to share the Guidelines with colleagues, staff, training participants, etc. Participants will receive a copy of the Community Engagement Guidelines. Lunch Provided.

Join Bora Simmons online to learn more about the Guidelines Trainers’ Bureau and the resources available for trainers across the country.

Cost: CAEE Member = $40; Non-Member = $60
