Dive into engineering design with the Wade Institute for Science Education! We're hosting an Underwater Robotics Workshop for middle and high school educators and students (grades 6–12) on November 1–2, 2024.

Details:

  • Dates: November 1st & 2nd
  • Time: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM ET
  • Location: Lloyd Center for the Environment, Dartmouth, MA
  • Fee: $300 per teacher; $20 per student (includes ROV kit, curriculum materials, and lunch)

Workshop Highlights:

  • Build and test a mini remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) using PVC pipe and other materials
  • Experiment with water collection devices and sensors
  • Explore curriculum resources aligned with Science and Technology/Engineering Standards
  • Engage in hands-on engineering and scientific investigations
  • Bring up to 2 students to collaborate and foster teamwork
