This introductory training begins to explore how emotional capacity is key to solving the climate crisis. Disconnection lies at the heart of environmental degradation and social upheaval, but by harnessing our emotions we can resolve conflict, foster deeper community connections, and inspire meaningful action. Teaching climate change through emotional agility and care helps us reconnect across differences and build relational bonds that unite us and our Planet for lasting change.

We understand that some of these workshops do not work for educator's schedules, so all registrants will receive a recording and additional resources to their e-mail within one week of the event. We are striving to make our events more welcoming to all, with specific goals about racial equity and inclusivity. Your answers during registration will help us to know how we are doing. The workshop will be on April 16 from 5:00–6:00 PM CT.

Tessa Anttila

Tessa has lived her whole life mere feet from the Mississippi River. From the time she was born in northern Minnesota, to the present day, she always lived a short walk away. Her relationship with this moving body of water has taught her how to let her emotions navigate her towards purpose and connection with the communities around her. It is this foundation that informs the work she does around mental health and climate change.
