Nyeri School Greening

Students planting young tree seedlings together in a school compound in Nyeri County as part of a school greening and environmental conservation activity.

We are actively seeking support, funding and donations to realize the Nyeri School Greening Initiative, a community-led tree-planting and environmental education program in Nyeri’s public primary schools.

Together4trees Kenya has already engaged schools, learners, teachers, parents, and volunteers to restore green spaces and plant thousands of indigenous and fruit trees within school compounds, transforming learning environments, improving shade and biodiversity, and strengthening climate resilience among young learners.

Despite this progress, we face ongoing resource challenges, from procuring quality tree seedlings and planting tools, to supporting tree aftercare, environmental learning programs, and community engagement. Your support will help bridge that gap and make our school greening goals a reality.

Your contribution will directly support:

  • procurement of indigenous and fruit tree seedlings;
  • tools and equipment for planting and maintenance;
  • environmental education sessions and student eco-clubs;
  • aftercare and monitoring to ensure tree survival; and
  • community outreach to build long-term stewardship.

Every donation—small or large—helps us grow green schools and nurture environmental stewards of tomorrow.

Support the initiative through a PayPal donation.

Together, we can plant roots for a greener, healthier, and more climate-resilient Nyeri.

We are seeking funding support to expand and strengthen our Nyeri School Greening Program, enabling us to plant and nurture indigenous and fruit trees across multiple primary schools. This funding will directly support environmental education, student engagement, tree survival, and community participation — creating measurable impact on local ecosystems and building climate-conscious future leaders.
