Microplastics Lab: UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium

Learn about the most recent research on microplastics in Georgia during this interactive microscope lab for the general public. Try your hand at identifying microplastics in local water samples and discover ways that you can help prevent microplastic pollution in the ocean.

This lab is part of the winter science series at the UGA Marine Education Center and Aquarium. The series are public environmental education classes held one Tuesday a month from December to March. Individuals and small groups are welcome to register. Total group size is limited to 24. Children ages 12 and up are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult.
