Online Workshop Description:

Learn about the Jane Goodall Institute’s Roots & Shoots program, where young people are encouraged and supported to tackle sustainability issues they see in their own community.  Lauren will go through the 4 Step program to show you how you can do a Roots & Shoots project with your students.  Also, learn about funding opportunities and resources to support your students' projects.

Lauren Saville has extensive experience teaching and facilitating educational programs for young people about science and the environment.  She is passionate about showing youth that they can make a positive change in their communities and for the environment. She also loves to share her knowledge of all things primate-related, given her background in animal behaviour and evolutionary anthropology.
