We Rise Webinar: How We Use Art to Uplift Our Stories

Join us for an inspiring conversation with artists, writers, performers, and activists who will share their water stories and how they use their art to express them. Learn about their creative processes and the journeys they take to tell the stories that need to be told. Gain insights and inspiration to help you share your own water story through our 2021 Ocean Awareness Contest.

This webinar will be moderated by Jason Talbot, Co-Founder of Artists for Humanity, and feature members of Bow Seat’s We All Rise Prize Advisory Committee Nakia Hill (826Boston), Free Marseille (Artists for Humanity), Yanka Petri (Cambridge Community Television), and Marquis Victor (Elevated Thought).

About the We All Rise Prize:
In an effort to engage a greater number of U.S. Black, Indigenous, and Latina o/e students in the Ocean Awareness Contest and to amplify the voices that have been historically underrepresented in environmental conversations, 20 participating Black, Indigenous, and Latina/o/e youth artists from the U.S. will be recognized with $15,000 in new awards.
