Born and raised in Northeast LA, Marcos has deep roots in the community. Marcos is an avid birder, and frequently he leads trips to the LA River, Owens Lake, and the Salton Sea. He lives in Eagle Rock with his wife and two children.

I am a research fellow at the Catamount Center, an environmental education center that teaches undergraduate students how to teach EE to 5th graders and high school students. I am a prospective soil scientist and geologist and enjoy playing in the dirt with all disciplines.
I moved across the country – for the biking. My passion for bicycle culture and green living brought me to Portland, Oregon where I write and produce videos as a freelancer. If I'm not riding the neighborhood bikeways, you’ll find me the nearest coffee shop working on my next project.
