I am a wildlife biologist, educator, artist, and writer. My work focuses on training researchers, educators, and students to effectively use nature journals to enhance attention, observation, curiosity, problem solving, and memory.
I have a lifelong love of the outdoors, nature, & nature photography. I'm currently exploring a career in EE that will combine all these interests. I do this by volunteering. Right now I volunteer for an urban land trust & a state park, & this summer I will work as an interpretive ranger at a NERR.

I am an Associate Professor at Marshall University. My research area targets our understanding of weather, climate and climate change. I am a certified GLOBE Program trainer and utilize this international environmental science program to improve understanding through DOING science.
