I recently joined IOI as the Cuba and Costa Rica Program Coordinator. I am originally from South Florida but am now based in a small mountain town in Colorado.

I hold a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo (USP) with additional post-graduate studies at Tufts University (USA). Environmental Education Postgraduate Course from the University of Brasilia (UnB).

Md. Ashraful Islam is presently working as a ‘Town Planner’ in Capital Development Authority (RAJUK) and also worked as ‘Project Director’ of ongoing Detailed Area Plan (2016-35) project of RAJUK. DAP (2016-35) is going to be the master plan for Dhaka city’s growth management.

I manage an environmental education program in western North Carolina that serves over 25,000 youth annually. I also serve as president-elect for the Environmental Educators of North Carolina. I am currently working to increase the reach of our citizen science programs across the state.

Public Radio News Director and Environmental Reporter for 27 years, recently completed Doctor of Education in Executive Leadership. Research: Environmental Education in public sphere: How practice affects behavior and change. Interested in working in Env. Ed., policy, advocacy.

Gifted Science Teacher, currently pursuing state certification of EE through ASU.
