I started teaching with Nature's Classroom in 1987 in the woods in CT. My passion for teaching and the environmental continues today with a small powerful group of ladies known as The Chirping Bird Society. We focus on educating and reducing local single use plastic in the Myrtle Beach area.

Clay is a tree-ring scientist in the Department of Geography and Anthropology at Louisiana State University. He has studied how hurricanes and sea-level rise affect coastal tree growth, and he is sharing that knowledge with K-12 schools in Louisiana.
I am a longtime environmental educator based in Kalamazoo, MI. My work over the years has focused on water quality education and civic education. I am currently working with the Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative to organize their 2017 Place-Based Education Conference.
