Michigan State University Extension Community Food Systems Educator at MSU Upper Peninsula Research and Extension Center in Chatham, MI. She coordinates educational activities for people of all ages who are curious about where food comes from and want to learn more about how it is produced.

The mission of Discovery By Nature is to encourage the appreciation and conservation of nature through interactive, place-based education. With an abundance of self-developed curricula, materials, and activities that meet Pennsylvania’s Learning Standards for Early Childhood, my goal as an independent educator is to introduce children to the many wonders
of the natural world. In an age when environmental education has become a priority, cultivating
an understanding of Earth’s ecology can serve as a powerful catalyst for promoting conserva-tion and sustainability throughout all generations.

I've worked in evaluation of environmental and place-based education programs for the past 15 years, and I'm always inspired the clients that we have the privilege of collaborating with! My latest interest is applying ecological design principles to evaluation and strategy development.
