Hello I have taught reading, ESL, third grade and AIG since 1998. I love teaching! I have 4 children. Twins that are grown and live in Virginia. I have a daughter that is a freshman at ECU and a son that is a junior in high school. I love watching movies, reading and relaxing outside. It 's nice to have cool weather. I have 3 dogs and 2 cats so basically a zoo at my house.

I have been teaching since 1998. I started my career teaching third grade in Maryland. After that I returned to North Carolina and continued to teach third grade. After that I took a roll as a Title I reading specialist. That fell right in line with my love of reading. Soon I transitioned into an ESL position. I taught students how to listen, read, speak and write in English. I loved incorporating my love of reading into my student's life. Recently I saw a student from a decade ago in the Walmart. He immediately started quoting a book when he saw my face. That made my heart smile.
