PeaceJam Foundation and Environmental Education
While violence continues to grow in our political world, environmental educators are working to build peace with nature, our children, and our youth. From the World Summit For Nobel Laureates For Peace to the Billion Acts of Peace Fellowship, PeaceJam Foundation is the place for you!
PeaceJam Foundation is a network of peacebuilders around the world who work together with their communities to create a more peaceful and sustainable future. Based in the United States, PeaceJam has international youth-led programs in Guatemala, Mexico, Africa, and Europe. Together, they host conferences, work with the community of Nobel Peace laureates as mentors for the youth, and even offer scholarships for peace-related projects.
As environmental educators, we have the responsibility to share our contagious love and admiration for nature. This love and conservation efforts are the way of building peace with nature, with the ocean, and within the hearts of our students, the future political, peaceful world we dream of.
If you are an environmental educator and want to connect with the peace-jammers network around the world to share your knowledge and learn about peacebuilding, don’t hesitate to dive into peacejam.org
Furthermore, if you know youth who are doing an amazing job on peacebuilding and environmental education, contact us for their nomination at the Billion Acts of Peace Fellowship coming in 2025 here.
