Oct. 21 - NC State - Free film screening of Racing Extinction with discussion

Join the Center for Biological Diversity, Planned Parenthood Generation Action at NC State and the Climate Reality Project Campus Corp NC State University Chapter for a free screening of “Racing Extinction”.

After the film, stick around for a discussion with former racecar driver and advocate Leilani Münter -- who is featured in the documentary. She believes it is essential for humans to adapt and evolve the way we are living to a sustainable lifestyle that does not destroy the world around us.

The United Nations estimates that world population is expected to increase by 2 billion people in the next 30 years. At the same time, scientists predict that a million wild plant and animal species will go extinct in the coming decades due to habitat loss, pollution, climate change and other human-caused problems.

“Racing Extinction”  explores the hidden parts of our planet and just what’s at stake in the age of extinction. But there’s hope. By advancing human rights and equality, and ensuring that people can choose if and when they have children, we can help protect wildlife and the environment.
