This Award was created as part of the Children’s Environmental Health Network’s 20th-anniversary celebration in 2012 in honor of Executive Director Nsedu Obot Witherspoon. Nominees must be between the ages of 10 and 21 (inclusive) and demonstrate exceptional environmental health leadership—protecting human health, especially of our most vulnerable populations.  Winners will be honored at the annual Children's Environmental Health Day awards on October 10, 2024, in Washington DC.
