2026 Cycle Updates

Notable Changes

  • Pre-Screening: You will fill out a brief questionnaire rather than emailing a letter of intent. This is now separate from the application submission timeframe. We will look closely at your open‑ended responses to understand your intent, approach, and expected impact. We will also consider how clearly your purpose is expressed, how well your work aligns with our priorities, and your readiness to proceed.
  • Invitation to Apply: Organizations will be notified the first week of June to let you know if you’ve been selected to submit a full grant application.
  • Returning Grantees: Previous applicants may submit for a different project the following year. Due to the increased interest in a WFSI grant, returning grantees will need to wait two years after their last award date before participating in another grant cycle.

Learn more about our grant processs and fill out the pre-screening questionnaire by April 30.
