Explore Climate Solutions with EN-ROADS climate Simulator

In this workshop, participants will see for themselves the impacts that each possible solution can make and how the different solutions interact with each other.

The En-ROADS Climate Simulator enables people to learn for themselves what it will take to avoid the worst consequences of global warming before it’s too late. It is designed for educators, policy makers, leaders in business and civil society, and those interested in identifying high-leverage climate solutions.

This workshop will guide attendees to create global scenarios with policies in energy supply, building and industry, transportation, land use, growth and carbon removal. Among other things, the model demonstrates interactions among the solutions and co-benefits of the policies we make. En-ROADS allows people to try their own scenarios and assumptions, and get immediate feedback on the likely impacts of their mitigation policies and actions.

Classroom resources will be introduced at the end of the workshop.

En-ROADS, was developed by MIT Sloan School and Climate Interactive.  It is calibrated to research and business climate models to generates different possible scenarios that may result from actions taken in several sectors of our society.

We hope to answer some of your questions about global warming mitigation strategies and provide you with a tool to discuss climate change with your family, friends and colleagues.
