Wildlife Care Academy: All About Owls

Greetings from the Wildlife Center of Virginia!

Due to the current COVID-19 status, we’re sadly not able to offer the same in-person programming our outreach and education staff are known for; however, we’d like to share the news about an exciting, new digital resource we’ve created for students and classrooms through the Wildlife Care Academy!

The Wildlife Care Academy, originally launched by the Center in 2017, is an online virtual learning platform available to anyone with a computer and Internet access. The latest addition to our course catalogue is one that we think you’ll find very valuable for the 2020 school year: All About Owls.

All About Owls, the first installment of the Wildlife Care Academy’s Classroom Series, is perfect for students who may be new to learning in a virtual classroom setting. This on-demand, self-paced course offers an in-depth focus on the adaptations, habitats, and natural histories of owls – one of our most popular and frequently-requested program topics.

If you’d like to know more about the Wildlife Care Academy’s Classroom Series, we encourage you to visit https://wildlifeacademy.org/available-courses/products/product-detail/classroom-series/all-about-owls.

Making the transition to an online teaching environment this year may be difficult, but through the Wildlife Care Academy meaningful educational experiences are easy to find and accessible for everyone.

As always, please feel free to reach out to the Center’s professional educators through email at edu@wildlifecenter.org with any questions you might have.

Stay safe, and be well – we hope to hear from you soon!
