In this course, we use plants and growing systems to model natural phenomena, understand environmental problems, and propose solutions to those problems. We will create and observe terrariums, compare different ecosystems, study the impacts of pollutants, introduce and observe changes to a system, and seek solutions to various environmental concerns.

This three-week course will use Zoom meetings twice a week and Google Classroom for assignments in between meetings as you investigate ways to use plant experiments to learn about ecosystems and climate change. Participants will receive login instructions and a materials list before the first day of class. Most materials can be found around your house or are easily purchased.
