With over 12 years of experience in informal science education, Kylie is a passionate and reflective educator dedicated to advancing environmental and climate literacy through accessible, engaging, and equity-centered programming. Currently an Educator on the Children and Family Learning (CFL) team at the American Museum of Natural History (AMNH), Kylie has played a pivotal role in mentoring new educators, facilitating internal and external professional development, and contributing to cross-departmental initiatives focused on climate education, accessibility, and program evaluation. Their professional learning facilitation includes workshops on nature play, citizen science, and inclusive education, and their leadership has shaped key CFL collaborations such as the Museum’s partnership with the Billion Oyster Project and curriculum evaluation projects with the Research & Evaluation team.

A trained facilitator in Reflecting on Practice, NatureStart, and NNOCCI, Kylie brings both academic training and field expertise to their work. Their commitment to lifelong learning is evident in their extensive participation in ongoing professional development and conference presentations, including at ACM and REED. Their recent efforts helped field test new mentorship structures within CFL, co-develop climate-focused instructional tools, and support Museum-wide climate education strategy.

Driven by a belief in the power of science education to empower communities and inspire stewardship, Kylie continues to advocate for inclusive, data-informed, and culturally responsive learning experiences that connect children and families to the natural world.
